As I was deleting my account I found there was an option to continue one free blog page. I won't be posting here. But you will have access to the podcast archives.

It is time to change hosts. Too many errors in the itunes feed and just wanting a home that is more geared to a podcast interface. So you can now find At the Kitchen Table at Libsyn.
This page will stay up for a couple more weeks to make sure everyone sees the change.
It will probably take a day or two for itunes to catch up to the new RSS feed as well.
Thank you for listening and for your support!
Hope your holidays were wonderful! And dare I say relaxing?
I'm chatting this episode about my holiday time with family and crafting. Movies we've watched over the last few days have been good. A couple of my favorites had Nicole Kidman in them--The Birthday Girl and Fur. Highly recommend them both.
I've already got the seed catalogs out! My favorites are Seed Saver's Exchange and Baker Creek Farm. Which catalogs are on your table right now?
Music by Wind is Mindblowing--Happy New Year. Found on Podsafe Music Network.
Sorry it has been so long since I recorded. Work, weather and such prevented it.
Lots of updates this week. A bit about the animals, about cooking, about knitting and spinning too:)
In the knitting update I just have to share the new sweater I am planning to cast on this week--Pas de Valse
by Marne MacLean. Although it may seem like I have plenty to be knitting on;) I do need a simple knit for when I'm hanging around others. Something that happens quite a bit this month. I'll be knitting this out of Malabrigo sock.
My first purchase from Make One. Yes I have a new LYS! I'll be teaching spinning and knitting there starting in January.
You can find the dinner roll recipe in the Holiday Baking issue 2009 of Cook's Illustrated.
One thing I forgot to mention in the podcast is that I have started blogging again. I took a season off, but I'm back to it. Deb on the Web is active again;)
Music this week is by Marc Gunn. Christmas Elf Conscription song puts a bit of Celtic humor in your holiday;)
What a beautiful setting! A few clouds in the sky, the palm trees swaying and the ocean in sight. Ahhh
Recording from Maui this week. Visiting with friends, eating fresh foods (a few snacks thrown in for good measure too), walking on the beach and mostly staying warm.
Here is a movie made by my friend Susan as she and the husband were playing in the water a couple days ago. Download Maui_black_rock_turtle
I have been quite neglectful with taking pictures. My camera is still nestled in it's bag. It has been a time of relaxing, a bit of work (lots of writing to be done) and just plain enjoying the island life style:)
Here is a linkto the lunch spot article in Maui magazine. So tasty!
Music this week (from Podsafe network) is called Oceanside by 4-Track Gio.

Yep, today I celebrate 1 year of podcasting! Pretty exciting:) Didn't quite make it to 52 episodes, but life does have to be lived.
This week there is conversation about the animals, knitting, spinning and cooking. There is also a fundraiser in the works. More about that this evening. I have to run out to the Keep Portland Weird event. I'll be spinning at the main library. Drop in and say hi!
But I wanted to at least announce the winner of the Anniversary contest--Carrie from Seattle (badbie on Ravelry). She will be recieving a box of goodies that reflects the podcast.

I have to apologize right now for the raspy voice and intermittent coughing. The SOAR cooties followed me home.
Here are more photos from SOAR. It really was an amazing educational experience. Besides which I got a chance to hang out with friend and make a few new ones. These are a few from my workshop and from other workshops. There was a review of all the classes on Wednesday night.
Some pics from Deb Menz class
Here is the link to Ayla Brook's website. We all love his beginning music for the podcast.
And this week's music (which should have been heard 2 weeks ago) is by Justin Gordon--Barnside Shed.
Still building the Pico Accuardi Dyeworks site, but check us out-- www.picoaccuardi.com
Oh I scare myself! I finally put together nice show notes and forget to upload the podcast file! (shaking my head)

Internet has been a bit sketchy here. Luckily I have the iphone to stay in touch with the world.
3 days of dyeing with Amy King has been amazing. We have used different techniques, different fibers and lots of different colors. After drying we have spun the fiber using different techniques and then knit those up to see what effects we had achieved. I did get in trouble for farming out my knitted swatches;) I have learned so much about spinning and how each of these fibers takes up color using different styles of applying color. Fibers we used: Coopworth, BFL, Domestic blend, Merino, Corriedale, Silk hankies, Silk brick, Silk top and natural dark Corriedale. A smorgusbord!
Tonight we lay out our work as do each of the other workshops and we talk about what we did and learned as well as getting a chance to see what everyone else has been doing.
Before we leave the Workshop section here are some photos of the week thus far--
gotta run to dinner so more pics later:)
Yesterday was the drive over. Adam and I got here nice and early as I didn't realize how quick the ride is from my little part of the mountain. Two hours of great conversation and we were here.
Once we each got organized in our new homes we met at the Great Hall for our welcome event. Immediately I found Kristine and Adrienne of Verb and the four of us hung out for the evening. They were a great help when I lost the car. In one door and later out another door of a different building. Walking around in dark clicking away (and giggling wildly) finally the car found me.
My room mates Cindy and Barbara are getting ready around me. We are off to breakfast and then the beginning of our 3-day workshop. I'll be with Amy King. More on that this evening.
I own a restaurant, fiber farm and co-own a dyeworks
